We Adopted a highway

The 2008-2009 academic year was an exciting year, as SOSU/BU would aim stake their claim in the Oneonta community by adopting a stretch of highway on the  Interstate 88. "SOSU/BU Highway" is maintained East bound towards Albany, as soon as you get onto the highway leaving from Oneonta. After several applications, contracts, and an interview during the Fall semester of 2008; I was pleased to announce that by the end of Spring 2009 "SOSU/BU Highway" was officially adopted! With a pledge to clean the highway at least five times per year, our prominence within our "school's community" rang loud and clear as ever! Our official New York State Department of Transportation road sign, was cpnstructed the following semester, forever cementing our progress and achievements thus far within the birthplace and hometown of SOSU/BU.
